RECOVERING OUR ROOTS
History and present construction of Machado Quarter, Municipality of Copacabana, Antioquia and its diffusion in Spanish and English supported by the TICs use, 2009.
PRESENTATION
It is of vital importance in an Educative Community awaken its sense of belonging and is even more necessary to cultivate it in our population because it is a neighborhood without memory and many pluralities of its inhabitants, population circumstances, buildings among others.
At this historic moment in which globalization has filtered into every aspect of our lives, from the daily to the extraordinary, and has gradually been shifting the customs, the traditions and even the values of a culture or territory by the powers and strongest or most dominant cultures of telecommunications, the proposal is born of a Teacher group of Trinidad Educational Institution to collect and build the history and the present of Machado neighborhood of Copacabana (Ant) trough the conducting a transversal Educative project supported by the TICs use, using multiple informative methods to store, process and diffuse information, educational training purposes, organization, management and decision making during all the process, and diffusing the results of this in Spanish and English impacting well, network with building a website and uploading information into Google Earth.
All this in order to strengthen the sense of belonging in the community of Trinidad Educational Institution through knowledge and rediscovery of the neighborhood and its environs, taken advantage of existing information.
So, it will provide to the community with information on, what is the meaning of Machado Territory? Or where you live, beside it lets through various teaching strategies, the reading landscapes recreated from the territory from the encounter with its people, constructing mental representations and mapping of places, ask about their characteristics and problem situations and finally, assume positive attitude in front of its territory and seek to transform it through participation.

this is very interesting this proyect starting this way, the fact of having an english version in this web site, since the begining will promote the teaching and learning of this lenguage, and this is also a possible tool for students, this way english area with Marta Ligia could focus in the development of this version through the disclosure of news, interest and opinion articles related with neighborhood, school and topicality. this is a good point for this subject wich currently is needed.
